Landlords and Newark Property Management
- Contact us on the contact page or telephone 01636 612002 and make an appointment for a free lettings appraisal
- Satisfy yourself that Newark Property Managements competitive terms and standards of service suit your requirements
- Sign the Newark Property Management agency agreement
- Newark Property Management will immediately commence marketing your property to let.
This is a guide to the actions that you will
need to take before letting your property. Newark Property Management
will be pleased to advise you on each item.
- Obtain permission to let from your Mortgage Lender where applicable..
- Review your buildings and contents insurance in the light of
a proposed letting. We will be pleased to advise and arrange any
cover that you require.
- Consider rent protection insurance.
AT TENANCY COMMENCEMENT
- Notify Electricity, Gas, Water, Council Tax and BT as appropriate
and pay to date.
- Leave instructions for appliances at the property.
- Consider maintenance agreement for heating system.
Note: You are legally obliged to service all gas appliances once
each year.
- Consider the need for smoke detectors if not installed.
- Label stop cocks etc.
- Re-direct mail.
- Leave property suitably prepared for letting.
- Sign the Tenancy Agreement.
- Arrange with the Agent to hand over the keys.
